In Depth

The two-day format divides an extensive programme into two measured stages, leaving more time for questions, reflection and historical interpretation.

An extended visit over two days: 2 × approximately 4 hours

Instead of concentrating the entire programme into one long day, it comprises two visits of approximately four hours. This helps structure the information and explore selected aspects of the complex in greater depth.

The scope may cover the development of Auschwitz, the prisoner system, everyday life and forced labour, the persecution of different groups, the deportation and murder of European Jews, the killing process, resistance, the Sonderkommando and the final period of the camp’s existence.

This pace is intended for groups that do not want to move through extensive material in a rush and value time for deeper educational work.

History-focused groups, students, educators, researchers and groups seeking a more in-depth programme.

The programme for both days, order of places and access to buildings are arranged individually and require confirmation under the Museum’s current offer.

  • Duration: 2 × approximately 4 hours
