Auschwitz. Uncovered
A visit to original sites in Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II and beyond the Memorial grounds, with particular attention to architecture and surviving traces of history.
The history of the place beyond the main exhibition narrative
Instead of relying on the complete exhibition route, the programme focuses on the place itself: its architecture, surviving traces and the historical function of individual spaces.
The route may include only areas and buildings currently available under the relevant form of visit. Some buildings remain inaccessible, while access to reserve buildings depends on the Museum’s offer and procedures.
The list of places, order and interpretive scope are prepared for the particular group after current access has been checked.
Returning groups, historians, researchers, educators and groups interested in the architecture and spatial development of the complex.
This description does not guarantee access to any particular building. The final programme must reflect current rules, availability and the type of entry pass.
- Duration: 8 hours
- Format: individually designed route
- Focus: available sites and surviving structures
Digital materials are a future extension
Digital material may in future support preparation before a visit or follow-up afterwards. An application acting as an on-site guide is not part of the current offer and would require compliance with current Museum rules and separate arrangements.
