Jewish Oświęcim: the memory of the town beyond the Museum

This preliminary outline connects places that tell the story of Oświęcim’s centuries-old Jewish community. The exact programme, access and duration are arranged individually.

This is an educational outline, not a navigation map or confirmed programme. The order and availability of each point must be checked before the visit.

Oshpitzin Jewish Museum

An introduction to more than four centuries of Jewish life in Oświęcim and to a community whose history was ruptured by the Holocaust.

Chevra Lomdei Mishnayot Synagogue

The town’s only surviving synagogue, adjacent to the museum and serving remembrance, education and reflection.

Great Synagogue Memorial Park

A place commemorating the Great Synagogue destroyed by the German occupiers in November 1939.

Planned: an audio guide as an addition

Future recordings are intended to provide context at each point. The audio guide is not part of the current offer and will be published only after its content has been reviewed.
