Auschwitz Industrial

The programme explores the network of subcamps, industrial sites and places connected with the economic infrastructure of the Auschwitz complex.

The camp, forced labour and the industrial system

The route focuses on the relationship between the camp and German industry: forced labour, the construction and operation of industrial plants, prisoner exploitation, SS economic interests and the expansion of the subcamp system across the region.

Depending on the arranged programme, it may include former subcamp locations, industrial sites, factories, mines and other places connected with prisoners from Auschwitz.

It is a field journey, independent of the Museum’s standard visit, through the surviving landscape of the former camp system.

Historians, students, researchers, industrial-history groups and people returning to the subject of Auschwitz.

Exact locations, access, transfers and educational scope require confirmation. The outline is not a ready-made navigation map.
